All restaurants in Tuscany in the list below have been visited by one of our team. This means we actually did eat there and the food was delicious and tasteful. We decided to share this experience with our clients. Maybe you rent one of our villas in Tuscany, so you already have a place to go out and eat. Most restaurants have an email which you can use to reserve a table if you are a larger group.

La Torre di Gnicchè - WHERE: Arezzo, city center

A majestic medieval tower is home to this little hole in the wall right off of the beautiful town square in Arezzo - small, cozy, great food and even better wine.

Al Ritrovo - WHERE: Bibbiena, city center, nearest large town is Arezzo

Set right off the main square in Bibbiena where they hold concerts and activities during the summer months - screened in outside terrace so you can appreciate the small town life while eating a good wholesome meal.

Antico Girone - WHERE: Girone, city center, nearest large town is Florence

On your way outside of Florence towards the rolling hills of southeast Tuscany and the vineyards of Ruffina - set on the edge of the Arno River just as it exists Pontesieve, you will find this restaurant.  Great for large groups!

Il Proverbio - WHERE: Terranuova, city center, nearest large town is Val d`Arno San Giovanni or Bucine

Unexpected find outside of Val d`Arno San  Giovanni and not too far off from Bucine.  This large restaurant has spacious inside and outside seating making it ideal for summer or winter meals.   

Emo Bruschettaria - WHERE: Poppi, city center, nearest large town is Arezzo

Toasted bread with typical Italian sauces, top quality salumi and cheeses, seasonal pasta salads and lots of local wine are what will fill you up at this restaurant - without emptying your pockets!

il Tirabusciò - WHERE: Bibbiena, city center, nearest large town is Arezzo

Elegant and tastey dishes, accompanied by an extensive wine list. The chef has lots of fun inventing new menus which will satisfy a local clientele and entice the foreigners to try something just a little more adventurous.

Some places, even though they cater to a tourist crowd, manage to distinguish themselves anyway. Here you will find a typical pizza menu, which are all cooked in a wood burning stove, as well as a wide selection of fresh salads of every type. Sometimes its just what you need after walking the Florentine streets.

Limonaia - WHERE: Folonica, city center

Located in the heart of Folonica off of the main square and the lovely little street for strolling in - nice covered outside seating area - so you can enjoy the summer breeze while relaxing with a good Italian style pasta!

L`Antica Limonaia - WHERE: Località San Giustino, nearest large town is Sinalunga

Elegant and set in a beautiful setting between Siena and Montepucliano, this restaurant is the perfect setting for a romantic meal or a realxing evening out with friends.

Cerù - - WHERE: Camaiore, city center, nearest large town is Lucca

L'Osteria del Pinzagrilli - WHERE Guardistallo, nearest largest town is Cecina

Great home style cooking at even better prices.  You can eat alot and not have to worry about the prices eating you.  They are hidden in a little alley way that opens into a delicious summer terrace as well as an inside sala.

Ristorante Locanda Castello di Sorci - WHERE: Sorci, nearest largest town Anghiari / Sansepolcro

Tuscany overflows with restaurants, its a national past time! However restaurants that still make their own pasta, that is a little less likely to find.  Here you will find traditional meals, just like the Nonna (Grandmom) would make.  No frills, just good plain pasta with sauce and meat dishes.

Le Fonte (Bar/Ristorante) - WHERE: Seggiano, city center, nearest largest town is Bagno Vignone

A little off the beaten track in Seggiano - but the cook is well worth it. A varied but truly Tuscan menu, this lovely little restaurant bar has the idea of trying to look much more formal than what it is. We found the menu to be absolutely delicious.

Renai: WHERE - near Castelfiorentino

Set on the hillside over the charming little town of Castiglion Firoentino, this restaurant offers large portions, home cooking and a cool refreshing outside terrace during the summer months.

La Torre delle Civette: WHERE - Greve in Chianti, city center

Nothing fancy - in fact the Italians would call this a ristorante popolare, which means the restaurant for the common people.  It is loaded with locals and has absolutely no dress code - great for kids or just bumming it.

Osteria del Gallo: Loc.Rigutino, between Arezzo and Cortona

Cozy little restaurant with good solid menu held in the Tuscan traditional located on the main road out of Arezzo in the direction of Cortona.  Perfect place to stop for a pick me up before you hit the touristic sites in Cortona.

Il Vicolo: WHERE - Civetella in Val di Chiana, outside of Arezzo

Quaint restaurant, great wine list and in the summer time an incredible panoramic terrace.  Worth the visit to this little town to see the fortress and walk the streets, its like living in yesteryear.

La Corte del'Oca: WHERE - Subbiano, city center

Restored to perfection and filled with lots of do-dads from the 50's, you will have as much fun looking at all of the objects as you will deciding which dish to get - or at least when to stop getting something to eat....

La Tinaia: WHERE - Certaldo Alto, city center of the old town...not the newer one

Stunning inside sala with large brick vaults, and charming outside terraces in the quaint little town of Certaldo.  Definitely worth the stop - quality / price ratio is perfect.

Ristorante Rabarbaro: WHERE between Chiusi and Chianciano Terme - only a short distance from the Autostrada

Classic Tuscan restaurant with an extensive menu including fish and meat on the grill, home made pastas and local wine.  The price quality ratio is excellent here, and they also offer catering at very reasonable prices (even for smaller groups.)

L'Orecello Ristorante Tipico: WHERE in Talla, about 8 km from Rassina

Crostini are one of their specialities.  You can make a dinner just on these!  Lots of local specialities - true home cooked food with a rustic wine from the area makes this place a touch of authentic Tuscany.

Bar Scarpaccia: WHERE near Pratovecchio and Poppi

A one of a kind of experience that truly merits a stop.  This is not your traditional sit down type of restaurant, but if you are looking for some of the best Italian salumis and cheese and relish the idea of eating just like the farmers would then this is a must stop for you!

La Capannina -WHERE: on the beach in Cecina

Fresh handmade pasta, grilled fish and Italian pizza!  All of this on the each watching the waves and the Tuscan sunset.

Osteria La Loggetta, Paciano near Chiusi and Lago Trasimeno

Ideal restaurant for tasting some of the local fare while relaxing on a stunning outside terrace with spectaccular view of the valley.  This small restaurant is run by an enthusiastic couple who prepare authentic Tuscan recipes with fresh local ingredients.

I Tre Baroni. elegant restaurantsituated in the Casentino valley

This is one of the most prestigious and welcoming tourist destinations in the province of Arezzo. Resturant I Tre Baroni **** adds style to the spectacular Casentino Valley. Respectful of nature and traditions, it is set in the National Park of Casentino Forests, very close to the century-old Hermitage and Monastery of Camaldoli.
