This classical 2 floor Tuscan private villa rental with pool is located only 50 km south of Florence. Papiano is a charming little town - where you can easily enter into the authentic feel of Tuscany. This a private Italian vacation home which has a large yard, a covered eating area over looking the valley and BBQ. The private pool is directly in front of the villa. The in ground pool is the 4 per 8 meters large with part of it shallow water perfect for a family with kids to play and splash around. This villa is ideal for a family with children who is looking to enjoy their time in Tuscany and wishes to just kick back and relax at home and take advantage of the private. You will find a full children’s play ground and tennis court only 500 yards away as well as a fantastic little restaurant which specializes in Tortelli - a potato filled ravioli. Yummmm. The first week of August is a big street party which celebrates this delicious pasta. Day trips to Florence and Arezzo can be arranged easily. There is a beautiful National Park - great for hiking and biking is right around the corner.

We also enjoyed visiting nearby Stia,.,,great shops and restaurants. We loved Papiano, it was truly a magical place! Marco was very warm and welcoming and we plan to return one day. | Didcot, United Kingdom, POSTED: 19/08/2008 We received a really warm welcome from Marco on arrival along with fresh fruit and ice cold beer in the refrigerator. The villa was spotless and the swimming pool a joy to use, cleaned each morning. The views from the villa and pool were a real pleasure and made sitting on the terrace whilst eating al fresco, or lounging by the pool ever so relaxing. The children (14 & 11) also loved the pool and would have brought it back the the UK, if only our weather was as good as in Tuscany. The villa was also well equipped with everything we needed. A good selection of excellent quality, good service and reasonably priced restaurants in Pratovecchio and Poppi. Poppi has numerous shops including a Spar whilst there is a large modern Co-op in Bibbienna that is open for long hours, including Sunday. |

We had one minor problem over the water heating and he was there within twenty minutes and solved the problem. He is meticulous about cleaning the pool and did it every day before we were up. Papanio is a quiet secluded spot in the montains, in which to unwind and soak up the sun and magificent panorama. Poppi old town and castle are well worth a vist, as is Arezzo. It was just what we expected and more. |

Chene-Bougeries, Switzerland, POSTED: 17/08/2006 Tuscan Twist in Pratovecchio is a good restaurant/delicatessen to go to. The restaurant LORIS down the road (400 meters from the house) is very friendly and very well priced. The castle in Poppi is a must to see.
Marco, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly, always willing to help with any needs we might have. The very good bottle of red wine waiting for us upon our arrival was a very nice touch and saved us from having to go and buy one that evening! |
