| Northboro, USA, POSTED: 21/10/2008 We loved the villa. While the owners we next door, we still had complete privacy. The small town atmosphere was a wonderful experience. We felt completely welcome by ther locals. We were able to walk down to town and the train station, and most important the pastry shop!
On our second day there we managed to lock ourselves out, but with some help from our sister in the states, the rental service contacted the owner who appeared in minutes to let us back in. |

THe little town Rignano was nice and the people there friendly and helpful, not too many tourists, and nice beeing able to take the train to Firenze, this we did twice. |

Leipheim / Riedheim, Deutschland, POSTED: 15/06/2006 Es müssen keine Geschirrtücher, Toilettenpapier oder Spülmittel mitgebracht werden. Es ist alles vorhanden. Waschmaschine und Trockner samt Bügelbrett sind in einem HAuswirtschaftsraum untergebracht. Auch hier muss nicht s extra mitgeschleppt werden.
Haus wunderschön, Lage oben am Berg. Es gibt im Ort allerdings nur ein Restaurant. Die Zugverbindung nach Florenz oder Arezzo ist gut und vor allem günstig. |
Kirkwood, USA, POSTED: 22/10/2005 The villa and view were breathtaking - beyond our expectations. The owner and her daughter were helpful and pleasant. Great location - close to Florence and the train takes you right in. Difficult to get a schedule. We went into the police station and the officer was very helpful. The trains seem to run hourly on the half hour. The town seems to be a working class town, easy to get lost in but has all the necessities - even a travel agencies for booking train tickets. We booked our Florence to Venice tickets there. Easy drive to the Tuscany wine country.
The villa was clean and well kept up. The cleaning person was very knowledgeable about the house and how things worked. She was readily available. The owners were pleasant and helpful. The cleaning person also provides a four course Tuscan dinner at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend it. A fire at night - mid October - was very welcome and pleasant. The views from the top of the hill is spectacular. The whole house is spectacular. |
