Firmina

This vacation villa rental in Italy is perfect for those who want to travel in comfort - enjoy a great view but like being close to the comforts of shops and restaurants. The owner originally restored this Tuscan farmhouse for his own personal use - so he took special care to make it as comfortable and homey as possible. The rich wood tones match well with the terracotta floor and black leather sofas.

The villa is snuggled in a corner of a small Tuscan town right outside of the historic city of Arezzo. You can walk to a home cooking restaurant and pick up last minute goodies at the local supermarket - and you are only minutes from Arezzo by bus or car where there is a national train station so you are only a short trip to Florence, Rome or Venice.

Roseville, Australia, POSTED: 07/10/2008 Local restaurants in Sta Firmina are excellent.
Leeds, United Kingdom, POSTED: 18/08/2008 The web site photos don't do the villa justice. It was a beautiful house. We took some photos which we'd be happy to let the owners have. The villa was excellent. We had a fantastic time at the villa. The attention to detail is very impressive. Everything that we thought we'd need was found to be there. The owners were very keen to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. No negative comments
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, POSTED: 05/07/2008 The villa was well equipped and met the needs of a large group of 10 people. It was a little chilly in April but Dominique had lots of wood ready chopped in the garden and we had a lovely open fire in the villa. The views around are lovely and we enjoyed some local walks around the country lanes admiring fields of poppies and other wild flowers. The Villa is well situated at the back of the village of Santa Firmina with local shops, church and a lovely village pizzeria a short walk away. Simonetta who owns the local pizzeria is a delight and made us all welcome.Domenique and family greeted us on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for them.We invited them to a barbeque meal and had a lovely evening together.Arezzo is a lovely town and is about 5 kilometers away and has a main train line to Florence, Rome etc. We went on a day visit to Venice and caught the local train at Arezzo to Florence and then the Eurostar from Florence to Venice.
Malsch-Su, Deutschland, POSTED: 04/04/2008 Das Haus war sehr schön und autentisch eingerichtet, die atmosphäre war sehr angenehm
Bonita Springs, USA, POSTED: 07/10/2007 The little family restuarant in the village was wonderful and close by. Domenico the caretaker was wonderful
Chino, United States, POSTED: 30/08/2007 The owners (Domenico and Louissa) are both wonderful people. Louissa provided a nice tray of food upon our arrival which we had for Saturday night dinner. Domenico was so helpful during our stay. We are grateful for all of his assistance. He is a wonderful man with a terrific personality. The villa is within walking distance of the local Pizzeria and is just a five minute walk to the bus stop. The villa is large and has wonderful views of the local area. The villa was awesome. It definitely exceeded our expectations. There is a small Pizzeria and Mini Market within a three minute walk of the villa (right next to the Santa Firmina church). We ate there about 4 nights. It is run by Simonetta and her family. They are very, very enjoyable people. The service and food were both excellent.
Centennial, USA, POSTED: 12/11/2006 The city of Arezzo is a bustling, busy, friendly place. The train station is easy to get to and the trains go practically everywhere, and tickets are very easy to obtain at the automatic machines. The pizza restaurant that we went to several times in the small village of Santa Firmina was about a 3 minute walk from the villa, and the streets and area were charming. The clientele in the pizzeria were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. And the food and drinks were fantastic!
The surrounding area, a small town called Santa Firmina, was beautiful. Our wonderful hosts, Domenico and Louisa, were fantastic. We were treated with great respect and kindness and wouldn't have enjoyed our stay as much if they weren't there! Grazie Domenico, Louisa and Mauro! Giovanni and his wife were helpful and friendly. Grandson Lorenzo was adorable. And we miss Margot, the wonderful and friendly dog!

Fakenham, United Kingdom, POSTED: 22/10/2005 The pizza restaurant in the village may look basic but the food was delicious and the staff in the local shop were very friendly and helpful. It's very easy to get to Florence on the train from Arrezo and we spent a really enjoyable day exploring the gallaries etc there.
The family which own the villa are extremely welcoming, friendly and really made a difference to our stay. The villa is beautifully secluded and blissfully quiet. It's actually nicer than the pictures on the web!
Winter Park, USA, POSTED: 24/06/2005 The owners are most gracious & friendly. You can see Tuscany without a car from this villa. We walked down the hill & caught a bus which took about 10 minutes to get us near the Arezzo train station or other local bus service. The walk back from the bus to the villa is a steep climb so we always hailed a taxi from town for the ride back.
The owners of the villa are very sweet & helpful people. They have not forgotten one detail including having enough hot water for 4 women! The four of us were all very very satisfied & we have recommended this villa to quite a few people. The small market near the villa was full of everything else one needed & the people are all very friendly. Enjoy!
