Quaint two bedroom, two bath apartment located in Chianti near Siena, San Gimignano and Florence with refreshing green garden area. The villa is shared with the owner, who lives on the ground floor. There is a private covered patio area, where upon request the owner will serve a typical Italian breakfast with home made marmalade.
The villa is surround by a lush green garden which is completely open to the guests, including the veggie garden where you will find lots of delicious treats. Set in a great area where day trips are short and comfortable - to Volterra, Greve in Chianti, Pisa or even Lucca. You are only minutes away from the town of Tavernella Val di Pesa where you will find shops, restaurants, an open air market and lots of charming Italian cafes.

| Richmond, Canada, POSTED: 22/10/2007 Laura & Luigi were the ideal hosts. They treated us royally and Luigi's homemade treats were an unexpected pleasure. Laura is a gem and we had a wonderful time with her; she went out of her way to make us welcome and to help us with our pitiful Italian. When she said "I hope you're not leaving behind anything important", I replied "The only important thing we're leaving behind is you!" She is a treasure. The area is quiet & peaceful with beautiful views everywhere you drive.If you're driving in Italy, a GPS is a necessity! Visit Carlo Fagiani in Panzano for hand-made shoes. A 'must see' is the Chianti Sculpture Park. LA GRAMOLA is excellent food in Tavernelle. |

Tavernelle is a small sleepy town. Not much going on there. It is a 10 km ride from the Villa Nidino into the center of town. |
