| London, UK, POSTED: 19/08/2008 The villa was in a perfect position - only c. 5 mins walk from the centre of the town but when we were in the garden, it felt very private and quite isolated. Perfect combination! The villa had the best equipped kitchen of any property we have rented before. We love to cook and found it fantastic to have so much great equipment.Gabriella (the caretaker) cooked for us one night - food was tremendous, reasonably priced (and very plentiful!. Outside space is spectacular - great pool and garden. Would definitely recommend it to others. |

| Orlando, USA, POSTED: 23/04/2008 The villa was great. Just what we were looking for. Great location with incredible views. My wife kept saying that we were sitting in the middle of our coffee table Tuscany book. This was our third week in Italy and instead of traveling to surrounding towns as we had planned we stayed the entire time in Montalcino. It is a great town with great restaurants. Quite, easy to get around, and lots to see. We had to leave for Rome at 4:30 am on Saturday morning to catch a plane and we were able to check out with the manager Friday night. That was helpful. The directions to the villa were great. I highly recommend people to get to know the last few turns from Google Earth which is great to have on your site. I would have felt I was lost if I had not reviewed the last part of the drive many times. When we got to the villa, we knew it right away. I also had a Garmin GPS with Italy card which was very helpful. When we arrived at 4:15 we were a little confused about how to get in and contact the managers. Our cell phone would not go thru so we went into town to a pay phone. Dispite the language barriers, we were able to meet them in just a few minutes to let us in and show us around.
We did not find a bad restaurant in the town. The food and of course the wine was fantastic. I see that the villa is booked most of the summer. We would love to come back again and stay there a little later in the year (June or July). |

Das Ortszentrum (und damit div. Geschäfte) ist bei aller Abgeschiedenheit dennoch bequem zu erreichen. |
