| Washington Crossing, USA, POSTED: 19/05/2008 Il Castagno restaurant was excellent and only a few kilometers from the Villa |
| Sydney, Australia, POSTED: 12/05/2008 Volterra a must to spend time in. We went back several times for the resturants. Countryside very beautiful. Lots to do and see as day trips out from villa. First night meal prepared by owner was a marvel- so easy when arriving after a long trip, also a great meal and very friendy servce. So nice to have personal contract with people who live around the area. |
| Newcastle-Under-Lyme, England, POSTED: 23/10/2007 The Villa surroundings were beautiful. The services from the owners were outstanding. Not so important to a lot of people but for the women, having an excellent hair dryer in the villa won a few more points for me as they are particulary large to take on holiday and especially with the weight restrictions for suitcases now incurred. |
| Mississauga, Canada, POSTED: 16/10/2007 We enjoyed very much having Paolo and Concetta, the owners, prepare 3 dinners for us; the meals were outstanding. They were very helpful with all of our questions.
San Gimignano is a beautiful and very interesting town to visit, the shopping there is excellent. |
| Airdrie, Canada, POSTED: 23/08/2007 Very centrally located which is really nice to make day trips. The house was huge and the renters wonderful people. |
| Los Angeles, United States, POSTED: 22/07/2007 There are so many towns to visit by car in the region, we could have stayed for a month and not gotten bored. Concetta and Paulo cooked for us and we highly recommend the food and the experience! Also, try the wine that they make on the property. At 4 Euros a bottle, it was some of the best we had in Italy. Also, go see Siena, Florence, Monteriggiano, San Gimignano and many other small towns... all within an hour drive or so of the villa. We liked the quiet, remote nature of the Villa. |
| Ann Arbor, USA, POSTED: 08/09/2006 Wonderful place to be because it's close to some quaint little towns and restaurants. Volterra is a must. The dinner prepared for us by the owners was excellent and fun! We would highly recommend planning for that. |
| douglaston, USA, POSTED: 29/07/2006 the villa was wonderful and lived up to the description provide and more on the internet. the one thing that was not clear was that the villa was 10 kilometers from the town of san gimignano. honestly, after one day we were thankful that we were not close to town. consequently, it was not a negative for us. |
