| Ithaca, USA, POSTED: 02/05/2008 The villa is large and comfortable and has outstanding views.La Catene is a very good and friendly restaurant in San Gimignano.Be sure you have a very good map before exploring the countryside.Volterra was a very pleasant side trip.Also Pietrafitta winery which is about 3-4 km away was very friendly and had some very nice wines. |
| Victoria, Canada, POSTED: 19/04/2008 The pietrofinna winery has an outlet at the end of the white road going to "poggi" their wine is wonderful. the little store that is just outside Sam Gimignano on the road to Certaldo has an excellent selection of foods. the villa is in an ideal location with beautiful views. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk to san Gimignano. |
| Yetts O Muckhart, Scotland, POSTED: 27/03/2008 Fantastic views breakfast on the patio was a real pleasure. Very quiet which suited us but may not suit everybody. It was a total switch off. The restaurants in San Gimignano are all about the same price and we didn't have a bad meal anywhere.Didn't get to Sienna on this trip but it gives us a reason to come back.Well stocked local co-op on the edge of town. Visit Florence but take the train from Certaldo 4 euro return, 5 euro approx. to park at the station all day and book the Uffici visit if you can - queues were chronic even at this time of year. Didn't see the Duomo because of the queue and time pressure - a day probably not long enough. Dante and Cinzia (the owners) looked after us very well when needed which was not often. |

Easy drive to Florence, Sienna, or Chianti. The villa is exactly as presented on the website, with beautifull beams and terra cotta floors. The guest bathrobes are a nice touch. Althoug our host spoke minimal English, we were able to communicate via telephone with his daughter interpreting. |

The villa is very well appointed and the views can only be described as stunning.We didn't visit half of the places we had intended to visit, apart from San Gimignano of course, so we have the perfect excuse to return. This was the only holiday that at the end of it my wife did not want to go home.I'd recommend the villa to anyone. |

San Gimignano, Volterra and Sienna were all excellent places to visit. Excellent views from villa and pool area. Residents were very friendly. |

The caretakers, while they do not speak much english were pleasant and helpful. The view is magnificent from the patio. A great villa... you will dream about returning. |

| West Bloomfield, USA, POSTED: 19/10/2006 Rosanna and Dante made us feel very welcome at the house. We enjoyed that the area was very quiet. One could take nice walks, away from the crouds of San Giminignano. I would recommend it to anybody to stay at the house.
