| Romsey, England, POSTED: 07/10/2007 Amazing 300 year old tuscan farmhouse had so much character and suited our party of adults and small children. Federica teh owner was a very efficient, obliging and personable hostess especially with my non-existant italian! Local Coop supermarket in Lamporecio meet all our needs, good selection of Chianti wine. From Empoli there are regular trains into Firenze. Our Trip down to Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra was well worth it, amazing scenery. |

The town of Lamporeccio had what we needed for buying, and the villa is exellent for taking trips from. Lucca is a beautiful place to see, just as we found Cortona as well. The Vinci museum in Vinci was worth visiting too. Pisa and Firenze are off cause worth seeing. |
