The left over provisions (salt, pepper, oil etc.) from previous occupants made it much easier to set up 'home'.Beware of the Bar due Ponti di Golabian N. in Firenze. 5 fantas, 2 pizzaz and a bottle of wine was EUR 88.00. Restaurants in the square in Greve are to be recommended. Pizza at La Costa, Piazza il Campo, Siena was great a reasonably priced. Il Castello, Via G. Della Rena, Ceraldo Alto very highly recommended. COOP in S. Casciano great for shopping. Also, very highly recommended, I Cavallacci, Viale A. Moro, Impruneta (Seafood & Pizza). |
YORK, United Kingdom POSTED: 04/06/2008 The location, once we found it was lovely and the villa was very comfortable. Michael, the owner was absolutely lovely and very helpful - and the wine from the adjoining vineyard was very nice too, as were the complimentary broad beans.

Do you have some advices for other visitors: Get friendly with the owner and his girlfriend and get some of his wine delivered to your door (probably in a milk crate).

| Russikon, Switzerland POSTED: 16/10/2007 Pool und Garten sind super. Auch die Nähe zum kleinen Teich. Viele schöne Orte des Chianti sind in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. In der Umgebung gibt es mehrere gute Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Bad im kleinen Turm ist phantastisch. |
