Beautifully restored to enhance the typical Tuscan architecture of this area, this massive structure is a mix of field stone and red brick, arches and terraces - a perfect example of the rustic Tuscan personality. The owners have a beautifully kept pool area where you will find chairs, umbrellas and tables for relaxing under the sun and a lovely garden which surrounds the entire Italian villa.
The largest Italy apartment vacation rental houses up to 6 persons with two bathrooms and a large sun terrace. Even the smaller apartments are great for a family - containing a full size double bed and many of them with a single bed in the bedroom. Each Tuscan villa rental has a fully equipped self catering kitchen and private garden or terrace area. Set on a silent back road, you are nicely isolated from the noise and pollution. Only 300 meters away you can walk to the nearby stores or Italian Pizzeria. There is a Barbecue area and lots of garden space to picnic outside. By means of a spiral stairwell, on the top floor of the farmhouse, there is a private sun deck with a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside.
Close to major Italy hot spots - you can make day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, Chianti, Pisa, Lucca and the ocean with only a short drive.

Nur Stephania spricht deutsch, mit Englisch kommt man gut weiter, denn viele Gäste kommen aus England.Deutsche Kaffeemaschine ist vorhanden. Stefania and Laura were extremely pleasant and helpful, making reservations for the Uffizi and making the effort to find a hotel for us near the Malpensa airport for the night after we left Casa Maria. They were also very understanding about the mix-up with the wire-transfer for the payment--which had not yet arrived by the time we left. Our day trip to Siena was far more enjoyable than our day trip to Florence. Perhaps the best advice would be to take the commercial tour to Florence to avoid the traffic problem there. It is much easier to get in and out of Siena by car. We spent one day going to Vinci and we quite enjoyed it. Restaurants: AVOID il Lago; Piccolo Osteria in Mantione was quite good; Carpe Diem was almost as good. --Gary Sackett (May 17-23) |
