Positioned in a little borgo - or italian town, this Tuscan vacation rental is close to major attractions yet offers a large private pool with a fantastic view of the Tuscan valley towards FLORENCE - a private pinetta, or pine tree forest complete with bocci court and picnic table and a panoramic terrace overlooking the hills of Florence.
There are three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, space enough for up to 7 persons. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped, modern amenities include oven and dishwasher! The super large living room area has a fireplace, a corner set up for games and a dining room table large enough for everyone to comfortably enjoy some home made pasta for dinner.
There is a SAT TV and VCR. There is a sofa bed for one person in the living room area. All three bedrooms are located on the first floor of the villa and have views overlooking the valley. There are two bedrooms with full size double beds and there is one bedroom arranged with two fixed single beds (it is not possible to join these beds to make a double). The bathroom is large and has a tub. The pool is completely fenced in and located approximately 70 meters from the house, in a private area where you will not be disturbed. There is a gazaboo at the pool area where you can BBQ and picnic lunch or dinner with the fantastic view of the valley.
Day trips area breeze - Florence is less than 30 km from the villa and that means quick access to major trains, the main highway and great sites like Fiesole and Castello Nipozzano.

Winnipeg, Canada POSTED: 01/12/2008 Very spacious Villa. The scenic views were absolutely stunning. Lots of room to lounge around outside. Beautifully decorated inside and out.
Great cappucino in Diacetto (approximately 3/4 of a mile before Villa). The family run trattoria in La Cupole was excellent. It's worth the drive to Poppi to eat at the trattoria up in the hills, beside the castle. (Ristorante Casentino > see our Restaurants in Tuscany page) |

| Burlington,, cANADA POSTED: 21/05/2008 Train in Pontasieve (I am sure spelling is wrong) with free parking was great to go to and from Florence. Went to several restuarants in the area all were great. The neighbours around the Villa were very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay there.
Any concerns?? None hope I get a chance to visit again |

Its a Short drive to Pentesieve train station where we took the train into Florence rather than driving and also to Venice for a day trip. |

RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY: La Baita in Consuma was excellent but you might want to book - very busy. Closed on Mondays. Il Girarrosto in Pontassieve (not far from the station).
