Podere CANOVA is a large Tuscan country estate sitting on a hill dominating the Casentino Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Italy, 50 km south of Florence.
Podere CANOVA is an old stone built farmhouse with a total of 7 bedrooms, situated in the mainhouse on two levels plus two units with private entrance and a Dependance with kitchen corner, with private entrance and a nice terrace - ideal for friends travelling together, groups and family reunions.
Podere CANOVA has a finnish sauna, large and authentic open fireplace, three big terraces, a 60m² room for group-meetings and a swimmingpool 5 x 10m from where visitors enjoy a magnificent tumbling panorama. Surrounded by meadows, hills and woods, you can enjoy tranquil walks and relax in absolute peace. In the appropriate times of the year may find plenty of porcini mushrooms and chestnuts.

The rate is valid for maximum 14 persons (accomodated in the main house).
Each additional person (which can be accomodated in a seperate unit or an Extra bed in the main house) is charged Extra:

| Berkeley, USA POSTED: 20/09/2008 Podere Canova is nestled in the beautiful hills an hour or so away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. It was nice to come back after a day of touring Florence and be surrounded by views of hills shrouded with trees and fields. A nice relaxing
end to an exciting day. There are hiking areas right outside the Villa as the whole place has little hidden tracks around.
There is a village some distance from the villa, to get your postcards
and other things.. The village is a great place to see the locals
without the deluge of tourist everywhere, except for us. The locals
were very hospitable and the village itself is full of history, if
one looks deeper.
I found the location a centralised base to visit all the other
interesting places in that part of Italy.

| San Francisco, USA POSTED: 26/07/2008 We had an unforgettable time at Podere Canova, and rejuvenated and
relaxed tremendously within only one week. It is very quiet and
peaceful up there, and I could highly recommend this location to
people, who need a break from the craziness of this world, want to
meditate, regroup, write, or embark on any other kind of creative,
artistic endeavor. We felt very comfortable and cozy at this
authentic Italian "hacienda", and were able to create our own pace
without needing to fit into anyones schedule. We enjoyed the
picturesque hikes around the premise, and hung out at the pool in the
afternoon, reading, swimming and napping. Since they have a sauna and a cold plunge, it felt like having our own hotspring way
up in the Tuscan hills. Once in a while we did trips to the amazing,
historic little villages and towns close by, to explore. The owners
are very relaxed and hospitable and you can choose to either cook for
yourself, or have them take care of your meals. The rooms are
basic, very comfortable and clean. We will definitely spend more
time up there in the future, and hopefully bring lots of friends with
us next time, since this place is very suitable for big group events.
Podere Canova is a total insider tip and I doubt that it would ever be
promoted on mainstream tourist sites, so if you read this post - look
no further. You won't regret it! We love it and feel grateful for
having found it!

Die Küche ist für eine große Familie bestens ausgestattet und für die Kinder sind reichlich Spiele vorhanden. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Hausverwalter. Haben uns hier einfach rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt mal wieder. |
