Italian Cooking classes in your Villa

As a SPECIAL SERVICE to our guests staying at one of our Tuscan Villas, we have been  encouraging our villa owners to hire someone who comes in the villa and give a cookery course specially to your group. The chef will come into the Villa and stay with you for the whole day showing and teaching you the secrets of some tasty Italian dishes. In many cases, the chef is the owner her/himself fo the villa, as long as almost anyone who was born and grown up in Tuscany is naturally an excellent cook!!!

So why don’t you spice up your holiday in Tuscany with a firsthand authentic Italian one or two-day cookery course? Ever dreamed of making your own pasta, or creating a splendid full-course Italian dinner and remember these irresistible desserts? No problem! We will put you in contact with the villa owner, and the local chef will discuss with you the various possible menus. You can also choose a menu by yourself that you want to cook, but we highly recommend you pay attention to the local typical dishes and fresh ingredients!!!! Tell in advance in your E-mail what you like best, and specially inform if there is any ingredient that can NOT be present in your recipe!

According to the choosen menu, the chef will buy the best ingredients, carefully picked up from local street markets or groceries. According to each case, you can discuss with the chef to go and make a trip to the market together. After that, you are prepared to get started in the kitchen! Let’s roll up those sleeves for an unforgettable Tuscan meal which will be eaten at the beautifully decorated long table in your estate house. Needless to say, a selection of local wines will accompany the course and meal.

The class can be small and intensive with only 2 or 4 persons, or a large group with up to 15 persons. In bigger groups its possible to split the group and do different dishes in each. The cooking lesson will be organized specially for your group, looking forward to explore and improve your cooking talents and techniques, in a fun and friendly environment. Consider that maybe will not be possible to learn a full menu in only one day of lesson, so you must concentrate only in making hand made pasta or pizza, or decide to have many easy recipes. The dessert sometimes deserves more time to be prepared in the right way!
