  • How to make a phone call from Italy

So - how do you make a phone call in Italy ? It can be as easy as 1 - 2 - 3 if you already know the answers.
We have done a little footwork for you and provided a list of helpful info and a few links for making communicating beyond the Italian borders as painless as possible.

Vinci - the birthplace of the father of many modern inventions

Tired of visiting castle after castle - and looking at old painting after old painting? Vinci has those great Tuscan landscapes, but gives you a peek into the creative mind of the incredible Leonardo da Vinci. Among the picturesque steets of this quaint little town you will find a unique museum dedicated to the many inventions of Leonardo da Vinci.

    Emo Bruschetteria in Poppi

While visiting the beautiful little town of Poppi and its impressive and fully restored Castle (including a real dungeon) you can stop here and have a perfect lunch. They specialize in toasted bread with typical Italian sauces, top quality salami and cheeses, seasonal pasta salads and lots of local wine are what will fill you up at this restaurant - without emptying your pockets!

    Say it in Italian

    Produzione Propria

You will see this word often written in the windows of the gelaterie (another important Italian word) or ice cream shops in Italy. It means that the ice cream production is done in house - this is not industrial made ice cream. Of course, this is not a guarantee that it is the best you ever had...normally you have to try several different ice cream places to determine the very best.

Many restaurants and pastry shops will also use these two words to indicate that the desserts or pastries they serve are not store bought but made in house with either original recipes or in the traditional style.

San Minato - beautiful position near Lucca and Pisa
This prestigous villa from the 17th century Tuscany, captures not only the romance of a time gone by - but also the fantastic views that only Northern Tuscany can provide

Perfect starting point for family vacations, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, it also makes the ideal vacation stop for quick flights into Florence or Pisa.

Mid season Prices (September) 1360.-Euro per week
