  • Visiting Museums in Florence and Siena ? ...you shouldn't have to wait in long lines, come prepared!

Museums are a dime a dozen in Tuscany, and if you are an art major or have a sincere passion for the arts, then you'll find that the museums, churches and sometimes even the odd place out like stores and restaurants, are packed with hidden treasure.
But if you are really here to admire the famous artists and their work, then you shouldn’t have to hassle with long lines and hot waits. Many places will allow you to reserve a spot BUT you should do it before you leave home because they book up fast! We have put together a few links of the hot spots and their alternatives - for those of you who are looking to amuse children or want something realllllly different.

Roma, wasn't built in a day

but you can visit the highlights of Rome in a day from Tuscany by using the Eurostar train leaving from Florence and Arezzo. This is a great way to not miss out on Roman architecture and the Sistine Chapel while vacationing in Tuscany. We have a few helpful hints and train links for you so you can organize the event.

If you want to do Rome but, are just a little worried about not getting the most and would like a a little extra help, let us know and we can help you arrange an English speaking companion.

    Yellow Bar in downtown Florence

Looking for a great pizza in Florence that doesn't feel too touristy or look like it was made a month ago? They have a wood burning stove, antique brick vaulted ceiling and great American style salads (but don't push your luck looking for salad dressing!)

    Say it in Italian

    Fatto a Mano

Normally you will see this phrase on a menu, in the area where they indicate all of the primi or pasta dishes. It literally means hand made, more precisely when you are talking about pasta, it means that someone actually rolled the pasta.

You will also see this word coupled with hand crafts, such as leather works, ceramics and many other things. This is normally an indication of quality.
