Located at the foot of the majestic Apennines outside of Florence, this town, well known for its metal working, gave the pistol is name. Pistoia is a busy little town for the local population assuring you a good lack of foreigners and the typical tourist trap restaurants.

This was a find in all senses, I took a winding road up a hill to follow a yellow sign, which indicates a special area, and stopped to ask directions - and ended up having lunch. I was defintely not disappointed. In the summer they have a large terrace which is open with a view over the Tuscan coast.
