This two bedroom, one bathroom apartment is nestled into a restored borgo or small town located in a pivotal point between San Gimignano, SIENA, Volterra and Florence. The apartment has a beautiful position in the residence with a large private terrace which over looks the stunning landscape so characteristic to this area of Tuscany. Sitting out on the terrace shaded by a large umbrella you will be able to eat your meals and sip your glass of Chianti red while admiring the everso slightly sloping hills and endless horizon. The area is a patchwork of fields of grain and sunflowers and lots and lots of silence and relax.
There is a large french door which opens directly from the terrace into the kitchen living room area. The villa has a spacious kitchen which is brand new and fully stocked with all amenities - including an American style coffee machine. Styled in the rich dark wood you will find everything you need to prepare those fantastic pasta dishes. There is a table for up to 6 persons.
This room is cool and refreshing in the warm summer days and bright and cheery with the amount of natural light which filters in. The living room has a comfortable sofa, which can become a full size bed - thus this apartment can comfortably sleep a family of 6 or a group of friends.
The apartment was restored to maintain the typicla traits of a Tuscan farmhouse - the lovely terracotta floors and the open beam cielings. This apartment once once where the farmers would store the hay that was cut in the nearby fields. The furnishing is a mis of traditional and modern in order to offer you the best of both. The bathroom is tiled in a light green ceramic made locally and has a shower, a sink, WC ad bidet.
There are two bedrooms, each with direct access to the terrace which wraps itself around the villa. The bedrooms each have a double bed and new mattresses. You will find lots of closest space and a small pantry where you can store your belongings. The bedrooms are large and luminous and have been furnished with all necessary amenities.
The shared pool is located only 50 meters from the apartment. You will find that you have your own private umbrella and chairs laid out for your use durning your stay. The pool gets sunlight all day and is a great place to perfect your tan and relax in in the silence. It has been thoughtfully landscaped with the natural flavours of Tuscany - lavendar plants, rosemary and sage border the pool area. The view from the pool is the essence of Tuscany with the rolling hills and green fields - you will see the mountians in the distance and feel the beauty of the area.
The closest town is Casole d'Elsa, only 1 km away and it is a historic center with a castle, quaint bars and little shops. You are only a short distance from Siena, Monteriggioni, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence and Lardello - where you can visit the hot water giesers which spout out steam and boiling water from the ground below. Casole d'Elsa stays at the doors of Chianti, you can easily get to Castellina through Poggibonsi.
