This is a new concept of Sagra. Four people in Florence had the idea of create a permanent sagra in the city of Florence. From June until October close to the Piazzale Michelangelo you can enjoy every evening a typical dinner. Every 15 days changed the sagra. Sagra of the fungo porcino, tartufo, fish, bistecca, bruschetta or cinghiale are just some of them. You don’t need to reserve. Just go there for dinner, whichever day of the week and enjoy typical Tuscan dishes, music, aperitif and much fun.

During the last week of August, the Medieval town of Montepulciano organize a big event. It’s called "Bravio delle Botti" and it’s a challenge among the 8 districts of the town. They have to roll an empty wine barrel with approximately of 80 kilos weight up a 1800 meters long road climbing up the central village road. The barrel symbolized the Vino Nobile of Montepulciano which is the feature of this town. During this festival are organized dinners with music and much fun. You will enjoy also parades and jugglers shows.
The Bravio delle Botti is one of the most unusual sporting events in central Tuscany. It is performed in Montepulciano every year the last Sunday in August. This traditional barrel rolling contest dates back to the year 1373. It takes place on the small cobblestone streets of the village. Nearly 2 km all uphill from the cities entrance gate till the main square 8 teams representing the 8 different rioni (districts) of the village are competing to roll enormous empty wine barrels all uphill. The barrel weights nearly 100 kg and each team is composed of 2 spingitori .Two strong guys who try to arrive first for the honor of their city quarter. Much fun, more whine, and splendid energy.
