Perched on a green and forested valley of the Chianti and close to the small picturesque village of Lucolena, VILLA LUCE has a unique position, absolute quiet with great views of rolling Tuscany hills. VILLA LUCE is an comfortable country home with a private pool and a private garden.
The Villa is surrounded by a well tended and terraced garden. It is planted with flowers, cypress trees, Oleander and Rosemary, the typical vegetation of the Chianti area, giving it a fragrant aroma throughout the summer.
The villa has been beautifully decorated; the owner’s original intention was to use VILLA LUCE for his own private family country home. Some of the best features - the ancient wooden doorway, heavy wooden beams and terracotta floors - have been restored to their former glory, while the bathrooms have been finished in marble.
The living-dining room on the ground floor is comfortably furnished and boasts a large fireplace. The spacious kitchen is well equipped with hobs, a large oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Also on the ground floor you find a guest toilet. A central open stairway leads up to the first floor where there is one double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and two twin bedrooms and a second bathroom.
The twin bedrooms are light and spacious and have plenty of wardrobe space. There is a single open bedroom on the second floor/attic conversion; there is a tiny toilet room with washbasin.
The bathrooms are very elegant, all finished in white Italian marble. The En suite bathroom has a bath tub and the other complete bathroom has a large shower.
The barbecue terrace in the gardens, or the large stone terrace provides a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco meals whilst discussing the day’s adventures
The oval swimming pool has been bordered in natural stone, which in turn is bordered with lawn to lend an ample area around the pool for relaxing in the warm Tuscany sun. By the pool you will find umbrellas and deck chairs.
Villa LUCE belongs to the same owners than Villa CACIA and Villa PONTE STOLLI. Also a luxurious Hotel-Resort (only 10 minutes car drive away from the villa) – once summer residence of the famous tuscan family Piccolomini – is part of their property. The hotel has been restored carefully since 1999.
If you want to enjoy the wellness area of this extraordinary Hotel, you can for instance treat yourself to a traditional “Calidarium” (beneficial for the respiratory system and muscle relaxation) or one of the several massages like hot-stone-massage. In addition to it lymph drainage and also cosmetic treatments are offered.
