After a monumental restoration, the villa has become a delightful vacation rental, preserving the original characteristics of the typical Tuscan villas, with its red bricked archways, floors, wooden beamed ceilings and period furniture. The villa has been built by Leopold II from Lorena, the grand duke of Tuscany, on the top of a hill with 360° view.
Villa Ricca offers 600 square meters of living spaces, sleeping a group of up to 24 persons in a total of 10 bedrooms. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, 5 bedrooms on the first floor, onbe inthe tower and two bedrooms in the annex of 135 square meters. On the ground floor, the wide hall leads to the living room, the dining room and the kitchen. The ground floor holds also a TV room and two twin bedrooms each with a full bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences like refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, stainless steel double sink, dishwasher, all necessary cookware and table ware, and two marble tables much useful for the dinner preparations.
The main feature of the kitchen is the original fireplace, still working and ideal for a delicious grill in the Tuscan style.
The dining room is really spacious and has one large massive wooden table for the whole group to seat down together. The dining room has two French doors which open directly to the garden facing the pool area.
The living room is divided into two comfortable environments with tasteful furniture, one of them decorated by a charming fireplace. Next to it a relaxing room offers SAT- TV with English canals and a large comfortable sofa where to refresh the energy after a wonderful day-trip.
An indoor staircase brings you up to the first floor. It holds: 4 comfortable double bedrooms with queen sized beds, 1 twin bedroom and 4 full bathrooms, all of them equipped with showers, WCs, sinks and bidets.
Each bedroom is very illuminated, with wide windows and good thick curtains to allow a deep sleeping. The mattresses and coverlets are brand new and comfortable. The characteristics Tuscan beds, some of wrought iron, other of wood together with period wardrobes and dressers, give the environments the real taste of Tuscany. Each bedroom has individual AC!!
All bathrooms are part of the large renovation, so they are all modern and brand new. Each one painted with a different colour, which gives a delightful sense of relax after a full day-trip around Tuscany. All bathrooms are equipped with a crystal shower box, except for the one located in the attic, which has a bathtub.
A charming staircase leads to the “tower”, where there are windows in all 4 directions. In this lovely tower there is one double bedroom with an en suite full bathroom, equipped with bathtub, sink, WC and bidet.
The annex, located only 6 meters next to the villa, is composed of two floors. The annex is completely renovated and is rented only together with the villa. The ground floor holds a living room and a full bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and sink. The first floor holds 2 bedrooms, each one with three single beds.
The villa is immersed in a wonderful location, very central and ideal for day-trips in Tuscany, from the best Chianti wineries to the most important cities of art like Siena (20km), Florence (68km), Arezzo (38km) and Cortona (64 km). The estate is located within 5 minutes drive from a cosy medieval village, and within a short distance from good restaurants and basic groceries at Bucine or Ambra.
VILLA RICCA is located only 300 meters from CASALE FELCI both belong to the same owner. If you need a place for a large group up to 50 persons and more, for a wedding or a special event with friends, this is the right place. For large groups you can use the owners private winery and a chapel free of charge. The old winery is a magic place from the 15th century, constructed all in natural stones and wooden beams, this is a great location for a dinner with all your friends and loved ones. You can feel the power and the character of the generations who have worked and lived in this place.
