Montisi is a cozy medieval town where is celebrate the Simone's Joust. The joust takes place on the first Sunday before the 5th August (which is the patron saint day). The Friday before the joust in the main church is blessed the "cloth" which is the final prize. There is a procession with people dressed with historical costumes to bring the cloth to the church. On Saturday are blessed the horses and there are is the rehearsal of the joust and after that each team has a dinner in the main square of its district. On Sunday there is the joust with celebrations and dinners. On the Saturday after the joust there is the celebration of the winner with dinner in the historic center, music and much fun.
