CASA FIUME lies on the edge of a group of 4 houses between the backside of the small village and the natural course of the creek. The ground floor is reached through an outdoor staircase. Entering the house you step into the kitchen with eating place. The kitchen is equipped with 4 burner oven with stove, fridge, double sink and a lovely open fire place made out of natural stone. It offers all dishes, glasses and pots for a complete Tuscan meal. For your comfort there is a clothe washer and SAT-TV with English and German programs. On the ground floor is a smaller room which can be used as the second bedroom (if 4 people are in your group) or as a livingroom.
You’ll reach the first floor through an internal wooden staircase. To the left there is a sitting area with sofa and the bathroom equipped with shower, sink, WC and bidet. To the right there is the bedroom with double bed. From the windows of both rooms you have marvellous views in the garden and the green nature.
The creek and surrounding nature are an adventure area for children. In addition there is a children’s playground with swing, children’s slide and sandpit – just 80 meters away. The playground was built for the village children, but is hardly used except on weekends. A private car park is just 20 meters away from your cottage. You are in easy walking distance (300 meters) to the lovely village of Strada where you can do your daily shopping. Enjoy the central Piazza with a glass of good red wine. The restaurant Arco Antico offers good Italian food fairly priced.
The house is ideal for a couple or a family with children. Romantic evenings at the open fire place, a breakfast outside or an open-air grill at the creek; there are infinite possibilities for your stay at CASA FIUME with interesting and diversified activities. Try to fish a trout in the creek. The location is perfect of daytrips to the historic sites of Siena, Arezzo and Florence. Visit the world-famous vineyards of Monteplucianoand Montalcino.
