If you want the best experience in Tuscany – be sure to stay at Casale Pippo! We had the opportunity of enjoying a beautiful villa in the mountains with a breath taking view of Arezzo and valley, the best Tuscan food in the area and wonderful hosts. Our stay with Francesco, Elisabetta and Francisca (including Wendy – their dog) at Casa Pippo exceeded our expectations and was the best 7 days of our 2 weeks in Italy. The Villa offered us the opportunity of experiencing the lifestyle, foods, wines and scenery of Tuscany. We enjoyed many Tuscan specialties at the various outdoor eating areas around the Villa and spent many hours at the pool enjoying the sunshine by day and the stars and lights of Arezzo by night. While there, be sure to take advantage of the personal wine tour provided by Francesco and Elisabetta, Elisabetta’s cooking class right at Casa Pippo and you don’t want to miss the tour of Chianti valley in Francesco’s plane. They even provided us with taxi service during our stay. We can’t wait to r
15 June 2009Natalie Moll, Key Biscane, United StatesDear Francesco, Elisabetta and Francesca, our time at Casa Pippo has been truly memorable. Each day was better than the next. We were able to relax, laugh and enjoy delicious meals with one another which is a wonderful gift. Thank you so much for all your warmth and kindness. This has been some of the best two weeks of my life and that has been in large part due to this beautiful setting. Casa Pippo will always remain near and dear to my heart.
04 June 2009R. Stephen and Dorothy M. Heinrichs, Hillsborough, USAWe stayed at the wonderful Casa Pippo for most of May and part of June, 2009. Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. Casa Pippo is beautiful and its owners, Eisabetta and Francesco are the best hosts one could ask for. The property is extensive, well maintained and quite comfortable and the views to Arezzo are spectacular. There are many, many things to do on the property and Arezzo is very convenient to many places of interest. Thank you, Elisabetta and Francesco for a wonderful stay and great cuisine (and lessons) and all of the help to make the visit a very relaxed one as well. We hope to return soon.

Casale Pippo is a beautiful destination and we are very fortunate to have spent a week here. Please come to Orlando Fl when you get to the U.S. Thank you, thank you thank you ! Our week was perfect.
19 November 2008allen bishop, Montecito, USAFrancesco and Elizabetta were the perfect hosts. They've crafted a peerless home overlook Arezzo. It's beautifully located for day trips to Florence, Sienna and Cortona. The Villa is gorgeous and built out to the highest standards for comfort. Thanks for providing our most memorable time in Europe. Allen, Dena, Brian, Steve, Edi, Arnie and Elaine.
03 November 2008Clementine Infante Penix, North Little Rock, USAThe Villa was perfectly located. We drove from Arezzo to almost all the surrounding Tuscan towns easily. We visited wine gardens of Chianti and Brunello sampling as much as we could and returning to Casale Pippo with no problems. Arezzo is wonderful. The old town greeted us with one of their international fairs and the Frescos were amazing in the old church.
07 October 2008samuel saccardo, Lynnfield, usaCasale Pippo and the owners, Francesco and Elizebtha, were the greatest. The most beautiful house and surrounding gardens I have ever vacationed. Everything about the discription was correct and even better. The pool was heated and we all enjoyed the swimming in mid October. The view from the pool and surrounding area in breathtaking. When you arrive, Elizabetha is there for you and provides you with a complimentary dinner that's out of this world. Everything about Casale Pippo was wonderful. I, my husband and friends loved our time spent there and would highly recommend this Villa for anyone interested in a restful and/or adveture vacation
The villa is excellently appointed and maintained. An interesting and comfortable house.Casale Pippo is the best villa I've rented. The grounds included a heated pool, a bocci court,4 horses stabled on the property and much more. Great views and privacy.elizabetha and Francesco created a feeling of total security and support. There is a groundskeeper and housekeeper on the property that provided any needs.A great value.
09 September 2008Bruce Charles, Knoxville, USAIf you go to Tuscany and want to spend time in a villa then this is the place for you! Francesco, Elizabetta and Francesa were extremely warm and welcoming and incredible hosts for our stay. Cooking class was amazing. Elizabetta and Francesco gave us a private wine and cheese tour which was memorable and not one you can get in a "canned" tour. Grounds are immaculate and views are breathtaking. Numerous hiking trails around the villa are well maintained. "Company store" on the property has many things we needed. Franceso's home-made Chianti is excellent. Nello and Rodica were also extemely helpful when Elizabetta was not available. Arezzo has many excellent restaurants and is within very easy driving distance of Siena, San Gimignano, andd the Brunello areas. Easy train ride to anywhere. Major grocery store within ten minute drive. Rental car agency (Avis) was right across the street from the train station making it very easy to rent a car.
20 August 2008Sandra Schuck, Sydney, AustraliaThe villa is in a very beautiful area and its surrounds are wonderful - a very inviting pool overlooking the town below, very pleasant bedrooms and Elisabetta and Francesco were very welcoming. The complimentary meal they offered us on our first night was beautiful and extensive and had enough to feed us for two nights. Our stay at the villa was a highlight of our travels.
09 August 2008RONALD RABIANSKY, NICEVILLE, USAIt was unbelievable how much Francesco & Elizabetta go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We felt like family from the first day we arrived. They are so helpful but yet they respect your privacy. Nello is also very helpful even though he doesn't speak to much English. Francesco took our daughters on a trail ride with their horses they have. He was on vacation but made time to take them out in the countryside. They had such a great time. Our son-in-laws had a great time too, just spending time at the pool. The home was so large that there was plenty of space for quiet time to be alone if wanted. The villa inside was so beautifully decorated. The view was just amazing! We would definitely recommend this villa for family or a gathering of friends. I know our family will remember fondly those nights outside we spent finishing up our days in Tuscany. Don't bother with dinners in town. Elizabetta makes the greatest food for dinner, better then any restaurant and she makes enough for at least two meals!
12 June 2008LINDA CAPPELINE, MORRISTOWN, USAThe villa is beautiful and the owners and their daughter were wonderful and very helpful to us. There is so much to explore in the surrounding towns. Our vacation could not have been better. I highly recommend Casale Pippo.
16 May 2008Roberto Diaz de Villegas, Miami, USAElisabetta and Francesco were very good hosts and provided a wealth of information and suggestions. the personlized booklet was excellent and very helpfull. Casa Pippo is much more than what the fotos and narrative (while they were supperb) on the web site describe. the place is magical. Within one hour you can drive to beautifull cities and wineries.
13 May 2008Paul Franz, Milford, USACasale Pippo is a great place and I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone. The villa is very comfortable and nicely appointed, it is in a beautiful setting and the views of Arezzo are terrific. It is also a good location from which to tour Tuscany, but the biggest asset are the staff. The owners (Elisabeta and Francesco) go out of their way to be sure you have everything you need are there to help you with whatever you need. I had a problem with my eye and thought I was going to need to see an eye doctor. When I mentioned it to them, they had everything arranged for me to see a specialist the next day. Fortuntely it wasn't needed, but it was very comforting to know that I would have been taken care of. It was a real delight meeting them and spending time at Casale Pippo.
01 February 2008G. Paul Neitzel, Sandy Springs, USAThe villa is a fantastic spot for a getaway, although we were there in late November so were not able to make use of the pool and the grounds as much as we would have liked. The location makes excursions to Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano, Montalcino and Montepulciano witin an easy drive. The hosts, Isabella and Francesco, were the most gracious and helpful persons imaginable.
07 November 2007Douglas Moon, Waterloo, BelgioThe caretakers were wonderful. They took great care of us. A fabulous welcome dinner and a fire in the fireplace every night!
29 October 2007Robert Hamilton, Houston, USAThe owners are wonderful and could not have been more helpful. It is in a wonderful location for touring Turscany as it has great access to major roads. Elizabetta cooks fabulous meals!
06 October 2007Jim Bybee, Mission Viejo, USAWe loved the place from the first viewing on the Website and began planning our holiday 18 months in advance. The reality of our experience far exceeded our expectations. Within a day or two of our arrival we felt completely at home, by the end of the first week we felt at home in Arezzo and in Arezzo Province as well. We are so glad that we planned a one month stay. That gave us time to see the country side and spend an idle day now and then at our new home. The cooking class inspired us to try our hand at preparing Tuscan cuisine, but so much food was provided by our hosts that we didn't really need to cook very much. We loved the supermarket, EssaLunga, the selection was exceptional and the quality, very high. We most especially enjoyed the produce from the vegetable garden at Casa Pippo, we have never eaten such wonderful tomatoes. Even the wrinkled ones were great. We could go on for pages and pages but the superlatives in print will never match the first hand experience. We recommend Casale (Casa) Pipp
22 August 2007valda burke, tetbury, ukwe had a wonderful time at Casa Pippo, Elisabetta, Francesco and their daughter, Francesca were excellent hosts. Elizabetta spolied us with her cooking and we are all looking forward to putting into practice the cooking skills that she taught us. Francesco was so generous with his time, taking time out from his own holiday to help us and Francesca showed us around the city of Arrezo, even offering to accompany our young adults to the local night club. a fantastic villa, with everything we could have hoped for and an amazingly welcoming family, we look forward to returning next year.
25 July 2007Patti jablonski-dopkin, buffalo, usaFrancesco and Elizabetta were wonderful and very generous hosts at Cassa Pippo. They greeted us so warmly and fed us remarkable well our first night there( Elizabetta also had cakes and tarts for breakfast and fresh vegetables from her garden for our use). The villa far surpassed our expectations in beauty and comfortability. We all felt right at home at the villa and were able to truley relax. The pool was wonderful as it was quite hot when we were there. We never got tired of looking down on the town o f Arezzo, the view was truley breathtaking. We would definately recommend Cassa Pippo to friends. It has a great central location to many towns for day trips, and I don't think we had a bad meal the enire time.OUr experience was wonderful and we are grateful to Francesco and Elizabetta for making our vacation such a huge success.
03 July 2007Cheryl Talbot, Burlington, CanadaOur experience at Casa Pippo surpassed our wildest dreams ! Francesco, Elisabetta and their charming daughter Francesca were so warm and welcoming, we didn't want to leave! The Casa Pippo is beautiful, more beautiful than the photos can show. The decor, the comfort, the gardens and pool, the incredible food prepared by Elisabetta, the fresh produce from the garden, our afternoons by the pool - nothing can compare ! The villa is perfectly situated for day trips to the Chianti region, to Cortona and Monterchi, to Florence and even to Rome and Venice. We also enjoyed the lovely town of Arezzo - great restaurants, wonderful museums and churches, and a great market on Saturday mornings. But the secret is our hosts - Francesco and Elisabetta who saw to our every comfort ! We will be back!
20 June 2007Thomas Valvo, St. Louis, USAOur experience at Casa Pippo the week of June 9, 2007 was magnificent. Francesco and Elisabetta Giusti are phenomenal hosts and the villa and surrounding grounds are incomparable. We have two young boys ages 10 and 8 who are full of energy and curiosity. Pippo was absolutely perfect for them. There are so many activities right on the properties--bocce, foosball, ping-pong, the beautiful heated pool, acres of yard, stables with horses, even a turtle farm! My youngest son spent much of his time helping the Giusti's gardner, Nello, working in the garden and stables. An amazing experience. As far as adult recreation, the heated pool overlooking the valley and Arezzo below is gorgeous and relaxing. The villa sits high atop a hill some 1500 feet above the valley. Access is via a narrow, winding, incredibly steep roadway. I am an avid cyclist and enjoyed challenging myself everyday to climb the hill from Arezzo to Pippo. What a great workout! The area is also wonderful for hiking as Pippo sits within a
06 May 2007Charles Quinn, Dallas, USAThis is an excellent place to stay for day trips all around Tuscany. Don't forget to spend a day or two Arezzo, it is a great little town. Our hosts were unbelievably helpful, even meeting us at the train station to pick us up until we got our rental car. As everyone else has said, the food is fabulous. The villa is beautiful, with a great view of Arezzo. It really is the perfect vacation spot!
22 October 2006Anthony Hughes, Belmont, USAPerfect vacation. We got lost upon arriving in Arezzo, but we telephoned Francesco who drove to where we were lost and led us to the Villa.
22 October 2006Maryfrances Trunfio, Conshohocken, USAThe villa was beautiful and the owners were gratious and warm and very accomodating. We have a wonderful time and would definitely revisit. The area is very central to all the towns in Tuscany, and i would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit Tuscany
31 May 2006Wendy Rosen, Cambridge, USAThe drive up to the villa is quite steep. Get either a four-wheel drive rental or a car with a very good clutch. The old part of Arezzo is wonderful with lots of great restaurants. The flea-market on the first weekend of the month is unbelievable!
22 October 2005Jennifer Menke, Watertown, USA`The villa was absolutely stunning with a gorgeous view of Arezzo and the surrounding mountains. The owners of the villa are incredibly warm, friendly and exceptionally helpful with whatever you need. Elisabetta's culinary gifts were fantastic. The location of the villa is great allowing for lots of superb day trips throughout the countryside. Lazing about the villa's heated pool is also a great way to spend the day and relax.
It is a great location from which to explore Tuscany. It takes about 15 minutes to drive into town. Navigating Arezzo isn't easy as far as maps go. Just pay attention to where things are and remember how to get back there. The villa has a nice notebook with recommended restaurants. (for the best food, see below)
22 August 2004Bill Macewan, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, v4a 3k3The website doesn't fully explain the villas unbelievable owners. First of all. They are not "there" with you. they live in town and drive up when you need them. there is a gardener, Nello, who is there everyday, but who you don't see much, but is easy to find if you need him. Elizabetta cooks and cooks and cooks. She is a fabulous cook. I didn't understand the whole "the hosts will make you dinner if you wish" ...and how much it would cost, etc. etc. But there was so much food upon our arrival (complimentary!) it was insane. Then, when we weren't even finished plowing thru the first night's food, more was brought up halfway thru the week. We were sure they would charge us, even tho we didn't
We stayed at Casa Pippo for 2 weeks in July. We had a spectacularly great time. The villa was more beautiful, well-equipped, and perfectly situated than any of us could have imagined.
My husband, Bert Weinblatt and I, along with our friends, just returned from two wonderful weeks at Casale Pippo. The accommodations were even better than advertised. It is both modern and traditional, with every possible convenience. The owners, Francesco and Elizabeta, made us feel like personal friends. They repeatedly went out of their way to be helpful. Our luggage had been lost at the airport - Elizabeta took my husband and I to Arezzo and interpreted for us so we could buy clothes. She subsequently made a special trip to bring us our luggage when it arrived several days later. Our car broke down. Francesco arranged to have it towed and then arranged for a replacement car. Elizabeta drove us to the rental agency and expedited the process. They had food for us when we arrived. One of our group had an em
