Innumerable restaurants and nice cafes and pubs stay along the Lungomare (road that follows the coast line). LA CAPANNINA, for example, at the Southern end of Cecina Mare directly on the beach is very pleasant. Good Tuscan menus (you should absolutely try the “Lasagna”) and fresh fish are really like a sportsman trophy. The sunset from their terrace is simply stunning.
Many sportive activities are available: from sailing lessons (including for children), to diving and surf for the adults or even day-trips with the motorboat for groups of 5 to 10 people. At Cecina you find cinema, mini-golf, skeet, the “Aquapark”, etc. For children, there is a small amusement park and playgrounds. On Sundays, there is always a street market on the "Viale della Republica."
The pine woods of "Cecina Mare" deserve special attention. Not only for how beautiful it is and not only because it gives some delightful shadow under the midday 35° degrees, but because of its dimensions and originality (there are many trees of hundreds of years old). The pine woods extends for over 13 km, that is the reason why we recommend a bike to cover the distance while smelling this pure and wonderful smelling air of pine. The whole coast line from Livorno passing through Cecina till Marina di Bibbona is covered by wide extensions of pine woods, with marked and presumptuous routes between 5 and 12 km of length. Ancient hill towns are another mark of this region.
