As you can read also in “Costa degli Etruschi” wine trail article, this project aims to promote the country area and create a knowledge abut the local wines matched in a unique experience for tourists in Tuscany.
The route leads through a wide area that surrounds the Province of Arezzo, divided in geographical zones called: Valdarno, Valdichiana, Arezzo, Valtiberina and Casentino. This large area covers the Northeastern part of Tuscany, composed by an incredible variety of land forms that together create a typical Tuscan countryside, with not only vineyards and olive groves but also tobacco plantations, chestnut trees and forests, and specially the numerous artistic and archaeological attractions that can be found along the way.
Specially if you have Arezzo as your base, you can find all necessary information visiting the “Punto di Informazione” (information centre) situated in Arezzo's stunning Piazza Grande, signposted with a large brown and white “I”, as well as in various information offices scattered throughout the area in each town.
