A large family olive oil producing estate is home to several authentic Tuscan farmhouses which have been fully restored maintaining as much of the original architecture and material as possible. The house is made of the traditional sandstone that Michelangelo practiced making his famous sculptures in the nearby historic city of Florence.
This 1 bedroom Tuscan Villa has a beautiful terracotta floors. Set on one floor, with in total 3 rooms, you will find a living room, a kitchen, the bedroom and the bathroom.
Thick with history, this area is just 30 km southeast of Florence set in the lush green hills. The owners offer a guided tour of their olive oil pressing structure located in the town of Londa - only 5 km from the villa. Every Wednesday morning a guidied tour is arranged for residents on the family estate - as well as a taste testing of the locally produced olive oil.
Only 5 km down the plastered road you will find the charming little village of Londa with several fine restaurants, coffee shops, a local market and a lake with fresh clean water, inviting you to swimming, snorkelling, fishing or just relax. There is a coffee shop just before crossing the bridge, and on the other side, where there is a big parking area, you find very nice restaurant which specialty is fish dishes, not so common in the heart of Tuscany, but they really get fresh fish there, it is in exhibition in a large refrigerator for you to choose before choosing the menu. Prices are very acceptable.
Florence is less than 30 km away - and day trips to other exciting Tuscan holiday sites such as San Gimignano, Siena and Arezzo.
