Built in the early 1600’s, this rambling Tuscan farmhouse rental offers the perfect environment for large families and groups of friends coming into Italy for a holiday. This enormous stone building will accommodate up to 14 persons with seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, large living room, dining room, super-sized kitchen and beautiful green garden area with a spacious covered terrace for meals and relax. Next to the panoramic pool with chairs and tables you will find a traditional wood burning stove.
The special features in this vacation rental in northern Tuscany include a fabulous living room, divided into two separate areas. The living room is located on the first floor in the central portion of the villa and there are four bedrooms which have direct access to this room. There is a large ornamental fireplace and a view overlooking the valley over towards LUCCA.
As you enter into the ground floor from the covered terrace you will find first the SAT TV room, furnished with comfortable garden chairs and throw pillows, perfect for gathering the younger vacationers and getting down time. To the right of the entrance is the only bedroom on the ground floor. To the left one enters into the large dining room area with its large solid wood table designed to sit from 14 – 18 persons. The fully equipped kitchen is next door and accessed by a large open space.
The green grassy area offers ample space for the group to enjoy sitting out in the sun, admiring the incredibly beautiful views – even that of the Baroness home in the hillside in the center of her vineyards. You will find the pool is in a great area catching the early morning and afternoon sun while cooling down in the evening to offer a nice refreshing shady spot for a before dinner drink.
There is one bedroom on the ground floor, four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms on the first floor and on the second floor there are two very large bedrooms – one with an en suite bathroom and one with the bathroom located directly in front of the bedroom. There are four bedrooms with two single beds, of which only three can be made into doubles. And two bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with a French double.
The entire villa has maintained its original terracotta floors – a deep red coloring which follows you through every room of the villa. You will also find the rich original wood beams in every room lending support to its early construction date – which the owner has saved in the kitchen pantry behind a glass frame.
The largest of all of the bedrooms is located on the second floor and has two super sized single beds. There is a sitting area with an antique desk looking out of a picturesque window framing the valley below. There is also a supersized en suite bathroom with both a shower and a tub. This room has a “secret passageway” which connects to one of the bedrooms on the first floor – normally designated to the younger guests in the crowd due to the loft area where you will find the two single beds.
There are two bathrooms with tubs in the villa and all of the rest are furnished with showers, WC, sinks and bidets. All bathrooms come with all necessary linens. It is possible to request a extra cleaning hours (min. 3 hours per day) and extra sheets and towels – these services are paid directly to the owner upon consumption.
