If you are looking to spend your vacation in a peaceful place, surrounded by beautiful nature, away from the noise of the city, then is Porciano the perfect choice. It consists of 2 houses separated by a butterfly shaped swimming pool. Both houses are rented only together and welcome 11 people in total.
Around the property are no neighbors to see. You will enjoy here maximum privacy and silence. Built on a hill facing the stunning Casentino valley, Porciano´s panorama is magical, from here you can see 3 castle of the valley: the castle of Porciano, Romena Castle and the Guidi Castle in Poppi.
Once you arrive in Porciano, a bit behind the castle there is a well maintained dirt-road which leads to the entrance gate. The property is completely fenced in, so not only there won’t be any deer or wild boars swimming in the pool in the morning, but also if you have a dog he will be free to run safely in the garden.
The house on the right has on the first floor 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, both with bathtub, and 1 bedroom with a French-size bed on the ground floor with a bathroom. The first floor has fine fabric wallpaper and beautiful moquette which gives a warm felling to the rooms. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has an original open fireplace. The headboards are made by a local elegant fabric made from Fiumicelli. Here 5 people sleep comfortably. The ceilings maintained its original characteristics with wooden beams and terracotta tiles.
On the ground floor there is a sitting area around the open fire place, with beautiful sofas covered with high quality Fiumicelli fabric. The floor is an original Terracotta floor, very well maintained. The rooms are decorated with colorful, bright paintings from the local painter Vidá, which add a joyful atmosphere to the different rooms. The furniture are rare Ballerini designer pieces. The table in the dining room is extendable. The ceiling in the dining room is hand decorated by the previous well known architect of the valley.
The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a dish washer, a 4 burner stove, an oven, a large fridge with freezer, a grill, a water boiler, a coffee maker and all cooking utensils, as well as glasses, wine glasses, plates and cutlery.
The house on the left has on the first floor 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with shower. The bedrooms here have a different flair, the floor is a beautiful parquet and the beds are typical Tuscan iron beds. The ceiling has wooden beams and Terracotta tiles. On this floor there is a open space area with a sofa bed for 2 extra persons. Here 4 people + 2 will sleep comfortably.
On the ground floor there is large sitting room with another sofa bed, a charming open fireplace and a television with international channels. There is also a dining area with a large extendable table where the entire group can dine together. The kitchen here is also very well equipped with everything needed to cook, there is for example a dish washer, a fridge, a freezer, a filter coffee maker, an Italian coffee maker, an oven and a 4 burner stove. On this floor there is a third bathroom. Here you will find also the laundry.
The well groomed garden area has several fruit trees which you can enjoy during your vacation. There is a gazebo next the pool area with a large round table where the entire group can sit together for breakfast or meal times. Next to it there is a professional brick barbecue. The wifi works great also in the pool area.
The highlight of the property is the swimming pool between the 2 houses, with its special shape and romantic bridge that cross the pool in the middle. There is a hot shower next to the pool and enough sun beds to enjoy the Tuscan sun.
You can fell that the owners, a couple both workers in the construction area, have renovated the house with love and care.
The next town is only 10 minutes drive. There you will find many restaurants, shops, markets, banks and pharmacies. The beautiful city of Firenze is about 1 and a half hour drive. Arezzo is about 40 km away.
