ANTICO FORNO is located in a beautiful estate still producing wine and olive oil, in the heart of Tuscany and at a short distance from a medieval village - halfway between Pisa and Volterra. The ancient monastery from the 15th century belonging to the Estate still holds its original charm surrounded by oaks and pine trees, at the beginning of a long line of cypresses leading to the ancient monastery.
The villa offers on perfect for a large group or 2 families with children. In the midst of a beautiful garden there is a barbecue area and the private pool – the perfect place to relax and to breath the nature.
The Villa has been carefully restored in complete respect of traditional Tuscan architecture and has been converted into a comfortable vacation villa with wooden beamed ceilings and bricked terracotta floors. On the ground floor there is a restaurant with separated entrance and garden.
On the first floor there are the two independent apartments which can be accessed via an external staircase – each with separate entrance on opposite sides of the villa, offering complete privacy.
The first apartment offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are one double bedroom and two bedrooms with twin bedroom – all furnished with wooden wardrobes and chest of drawers. The single beds are made out of wrought iron
All bedrooms have private bathrooms (two of them en-suite) and are completely equipped with shower box (one of them with box on the bathtub), sink with mirror, WC and Bidet.
The living room is comfortably furnished with green sofas, SAT-TV and a charming open fire place for cosy evenings. All rooms have been tastefully decorated with antique furniture in the typical Tuscan style.
The villa is surrounded by the local vineyards and olive groves, offering the best of Tuscan atmosphere. You will be able to taste their local products and visit their wine cellars. Besides, it is possible to make many strolls among the vineyards, olive groves and woods. It has been for many years a ecological reserve, and hides the stunning old monastery that belongs to the winery. Another attraction is certainly the close by a medieval hamlet, distant only 2 km from the villa.
Enjoy the large garden with an equipped outdoor area with barbecue for outside meals. The private swimming pool provides umbrellas and sun lounges. The location is perfect for two families or a group of people that can have maximum relaxation in the exclusive swimming pool and enjoy using the barbecue area in the garden.
The second independent apartment can be accessed via an external staircase as well and offers all privacy. The living room is equipped with comfortable yellow armchairs, a cosy open fire place and SAT-TV. The room has been tastefully decorated with pictures and antique furniture.
The fully equipped kitchen has fridge, oven, cooker hood, sink and all necessary tableware to prepare a bigger or smaller meal.
This apartment offers 2 bedrooms – one with double bed and one with two single beds. All beds are made out of wrought iron. . The double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the twin bedroom has a large bathroom. All bathrooms are equipped with shower box (one of them with box on the buthtub), sink, WC and bidet.
In the heart of the countryside and surrounded by vineyards you will find lots of leisure activities. Guests are invited for a private wine tasting on the estate. Just a few minutes away are the thermal baths of Casciano Terme where well being is lived daily. The beautiful surrounding paths can be discovered with bike or by feet. The two professional golf courses of Tirrenia and Castelfalfi are within easy reach. The friendly villa staff speaks English and can provide more detailed information on excursions and activities.
Just 3 km away is the charming village with all shops and services. The nearby village of Terriciola is famous for its wines. The villa has the perfect location for daytrips: the historical cities of Florence (50 km), Siena (67 km), San Gimignano (37 km), and Volterra (25 km) and Pisa (25 km) with its international airport are all within easy reach.
